Family health is and should be an important issue in anybody's home. It is important for you to learn as much as possible about the various illnesses, so that when they occur, you are confident and know what to do and who to see. Always remain calm. Many symptoms are the same for both non-life threatening problems as well as those that are life threatening. Do not simply assume, that the illness that you have is a worst case scenario. Do not attempt to diagnose something yourself. Based on the symptoms go to your Doctor. He or she is the best qualified person to assist you. Never be afraid of requesting a second opinion, that is both your right and your duty. No doctor is infallible. They have good days and they have bad days. A doctor whether he is a General Practitioner, or Specialist, can make mistakes.
